REVISED SNOW WHITE SCHEDULE

Ballet 7220

Ballet 7220 is a fresh and innovative professional ballet performing group of Laramie Dance Center, under the direction of owner Kathy Vreeland. (performance photos)

The company members and apprentices are required as a minimum to study at least 2 ballet/pre-pointe/pointe classes(classes must also be on separate days- this is to greatly benefit the company/apprentice members) as well as company class and rehearsals (which will be offered to members/apprentices at no cost). ALL MASTER CLASSES ARE MANDATORY,( which are also offered free of charge to company members/apprentices, and offered exclusively on weekends) unless previously excused. Failure to get prior permission or excuse in writing could cause termination from the company.

Ballet 7220 company members/apprentices are encouraged to study as many other dance styles as they wish. They must demonstrate a high degree of dance ability and interest in performing and advancing to their highest levels. Selection of dancers will be either through formal audition or invitation only. Auditions will be once a year. There is no fee charged to be in the company.

Company members/apprentices of Ballet 7220 are expected to set an example of professionalism for the younger dancers of Laramie Dance Center in their talent, respect, work ethic and demeanor inside and outside of class.

These very talented young people of Ballet 7220 are prime examples to others through their dedication, and their understanding of working as an ensemble and their commitment to being the best that they can be by presenting exceptional artistic work.

Ballet 7220’s goal is to present a wide range of dance styles and to entertain and educate audiences through their performances and outreach throughout the region.

Tracey Patton-I grew up in the city, love dancing, and have tried to love nature; but nature and I are sort of like oil and water. Here are some of my animal encounters in the wilderness: at a picnic I accidentally knocked out a chipmunk with an ice cube (he came to about 5 minutes later); I was nearly attacked by a squirrel as I was entering my apartment; I felt the hot breath of a bear on the back of my neck after accidentally following it in the Snowy Range mountains; and I was chased by a huge, possibly rabid squirrel in San Antonio, Texas. I think I'll stick to dancing.

Cynthia MacDuff-Cynthia was born and raised in California where she danced ballet for 15 years. She moved to Laramie five years ago to attend the University of Wyoming. She graduated in the fall of 2006 with a BA in Psychology and has been working at SAFE Project since graduation.
