Danye Carter (Danye Cook after September 24!),

A recent graduate, Danye Carter holds over 18 dance titles as well as a Spotlight Dance Cup National Triple Crown. As a competitive dancer, Danye has placed first overall every year since age 10. She is the recipient of three full scholarships from Black Hills Dance Theater and two full tuition scholarships for the Idaho DanceFest. Danye has trained four years in New York at Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet under ABT Principle Martine VonHamel and current ABT Director Kevin McKenzie, Martha Graham Company member, Oliver Tobin, JKO School director, Franco DiVita, Stella Abrera, Sascha Radetsky, Margo Sappington and Gregory Carey. She has attended Kirov Academy of Ballet Washington D.C. Summer Intensive and Reperatory Dance Theater’s summer workshop intensive. In 2017, she attended Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival on a full scholarship. Danye is the coach and main choreographer for Independent Dancers Anonymous and so far, all of her choreography has placed top 10 in competition with several pieces landing #1. Danye choreographed the Homestake Opera House production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in 2015. She organized and taught dance class for the Lead Boys and Girls Club youth and is a ballet and tumbling instructor and choreographer for On Your Toes School of Dance.
